Early registrations will not be accepted before stated registration dates.
Follow these steps to apply:
- Mail-in or drop-off the completed form at the preschool with the non-refundable $50 registration fee on the appropriate date (see above)
- Make cheques payable to "Westend Community Playschool".

Thank you for your interest in the Westend Community Playschool!
Registrations are taken on a first come first served basis. Your completed registration form along with your non-refundable registration fee of $50 must be delivered (in person or by mail) to the school. You can download our printable registration form from this web site, or call me to pick one up from the school.
Often the best way to determine if a playschool is the right one for your child is to visit the school, talk to a parent whose child has attended, and/or talk to one of the teachers. We invite you to email the registrar for your child's class about Westend Community Playschool.
Our school year runs from September through to June. Registrations are accepted throughout the year as spaces are available.
All registrations are accepted on a first come-first served basis.
Eligibility
Toilet Trained: All children must be toilet trained and able to manage themselves independently in the bathroom. Children are not allowed to attend the playschool in training pants (e.g.. Pull Ups™, Easy Ups™, etc).
Age Requirements
- To attend the 3 year Mon/Wed or the 3 year Tues/Thurs class students must be 3 years by Dec 31.
- If a child is not 3 years old by the first day of school there are two options:

1. A parent may pay to hold the child's spot until he/she turns 3 years old
2. A parent or adult with a vested interest in the child (grandparent/babysitter/etc)


must stay on-site with child until he/she turns 3 years old.- To attend the 3-4 class must be 3 by June 30th of the year school commences.
- To attend our 4 yr old programs, children must be 4 by December 31 of the school year.

Notes:
*No rebate or reduction of fees is allowed for temporary absence or holidays.
Registration Fee - A non-refundable registration fee of $50.00 per child must be submitted with the registration application.
Toy Cleaning Fee - A toy cleaning fee of $30.00 per child must be paid at the beginning of each school year. It is up to the discretion of the Treasurer and/or Chairperson whether to return the toy cleaning fee upon early withdrawal from the school.
Fundraising Deposit - A refundable check of $250 is required per family in casino years starting in 2012. Refunded for families who provide one volunteer.
Withdrawal
In the event that a child needs to be withdrawn from the Playschool, the parent must provide one month’s written notice (on or before the first of the month) to the Registrar of the Parents Advisory Board. If a child is withdrawn for the month of June, that fee will not be refunded. The Parent Advisory Board can use their discretion in extenuating circumstances.
