Teacher - 3 Year Old, 3/4 Year Old
With a special place in my heart for young children, I have experience teaching both Kindergarten, preschool and second grade before I became a stay at home mommy to my two boys. Returning to WECP, I love being back in the classroom! I strive to provide valuable play experiences and educational activities within theme-based curriculum as well as to create a warm and caring environment for students to feel safe and comfortable growing, learning and exploring together. Teaching preschoolers is a truly enriching and I'm so thrilled to be a part of your child's first educational experience! I look forward to the fun and learning we share together everyday. My youngest son is an alumnus of the preschool I truly enjoy WECP both as a teacher and an involved parent.

Teacher's Aide - 4 Year Old Class
and Science
I first came to the Westend Community Playschool in 1992 as a parent and board member. After my two daughters moved on to elementary school, I stayed behind in the four year old classroom as a teacher's aide. I have continued on as it is so much fun and very rewarding! Prior to having children, I graduated from Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology with a Community Rehabilitation diploma. Upon graduation, I worked for Alberta Social Services with children and their families in residential, developmental and early intervention programs.

Science and Fine Arts
I began working at the playschool in 2005. Both of my children have attended the playschool and I am so pleased that their first school experience was at WECP. I have taught grades one through nine in the past, but feel that being a playschool teacher is one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. I enjoy learning and laughing with the children and am constantly amazed at the growth of the students throughout the year.

Teacher's Aide - 3 Year Old, 3/4 Year Old & FIne Arts Class
I first got involved with WECP when my daughters were students at this wonderful playschool. I have had the opportunity to work as a teacher’s aide in places like Montessori, The Edmonton Catholic Schools and daycares. Recently I enjoyed working at a summer program for children and adults at ELVES Special Needs Society.
Working with young children is very rewarding for me. I like to provide a safe, caring, warm and fun environment for children. I am looking forward to beginning a new school and meeting all of you.
